Pasadena City College (PCC), a 2018 BSILI team, hosted the fourth 3CSN regional sharing event “Empowering Inclusive Learning” on October 12, 2018. There were 39 people from 12 different colleges in attendance.
The day began with a review of 3CSN’s inquiry areas:
Designing for Inclusive Collaboration
Learning about Learning
After setting norms, the participants began “making toast.” This collaborative activity is used to show how organizations create and communicate processes.

Participants then read a text set-a collection of articles that we use to build knowledge with one another. The text set included articles about Vision 2022, Guided Pathways, how people learn, and organizational change.

Participants discussed their key takeaways from the readings, which included how important it was to communicate and be inclusive to all groups on students, especially students. At the end of the summit, participants created an action plan that allowed them to brainstorm with their colleagues about how they can learn with their colleagues and build relationships.
